About Urban Saddles
Preserving Culture, Building Community, Riding with Purpose.
At Urban Saddles, we believe in the power of horses to transform lives and build stronger communities. Rooted in the rich legacy of Black cowboy culture, our mission is to provide equitable access to equestrian experiences, mentorship, and education for youth and adults in underserved communities.
Founded on the principles of horsemanship, discipline, and resilience, Urban Saddles creates opportunities for individuals to connect with horses, history, and each other. Through riding programs, community events, and cultural celebrations, we honor the traditions of Black cowboys while inspiring the next generation of riders.
Our work goes beyond the saddle—we foster leadership, confidence, and a sense of belonging through hands-on experiences with horses. Whether you’re new to riding or continuing a family tradition, Urban Saddles welcomes you to join us in preserving and celebrating the Western way of life in the heart of the city.
